Come and join us for a winding adventure through the nature-filled hills of West Virginia. This 2 week event filled with fabric, fun and prizes will indulge your love of quilting
while you enjoy the natural beauty of our state.
Each of the 11 quilt shops will provide a complimentary block pattern; as well as offer the option of purchasing their project kit. When you have collected all quilt block patterns from each
of the 11 shops you will be able to create a wonderful quilt as a memory of your journey.
This year’s theme fabric “Birds of a Feather, Quilt Together” is especially designed by West Virginia artist Dorothy Post Swick from Bridgeport.
Our block patterns are created by West Virginian Eileen Farren from Kenova. She has worked with us in the past and does a great job of designing our blocks.
Each shop will have a door prize drawing so be sure to register at each one as you visit.
This is your Passport / Map for your shop hop adventure. Mark your calendar for July 17-29, 2017.
We hope you’ll come meander through “Wild, Wonderful, West Virginia”.
GPS directions are not accurate for some shops. Please call each shop or visit the shop hop web site for more detailed directions.
Dorothy Swick is the artist for our shop hop fabric and is from Bridgeport, WV. She has quilted for 40 years,
often drawing her own appliqué pieces as well as designs for friends. She has studied painting on the college level
and with private instruction. But she says any talent she has is God given and really can’t remember not being able
to draw. This project was especially enjoyable being it combined two of her favorite things; quilting and drawing.
